FCK ICE
FCK ICE
Description
In FCK ICE, Cathey White transforms a familiar Philadelphia sidewalk ice chest into a bold statement of protest and resistance. Using acrylic and mixed media, White combines graffiti-inspired lettering, layered textures, and a gritty urban aesthetic to explore the intersection of everyday street life and political expression.
The contrast between the ordinary ice chest and its provocative message gives the work both humor and urgency, reflecting the longstanding role of street art as a vehicle for social commentary.
