We spend so much of our lives listening to the voices of others, systems, outside
influences, that we forget to hear our own. This work is about those sacred reminders to return to ourselves, to rest, trust, and forgive ourselves, as we are all works in process. This figure is embodied in her selfhood and wholeness, as a contrast to the spectacle that is faced by Black Americans.
