David Sweeny (birds.by.swilla) is a self-taught painter based in Germantown, Philadelphia. His art background mainly lies in theatre and music, and is known to many as funk/rock performer Johnny Showcase. His approach to painting is  an extension of his approach to music, bringing vibrance of color and joy to his subjects, which in this case are birds- lots of em.
